Lesson Scheduling
Private lessons are offered once a week in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions. Each lesson is individually designed to meet the needs and goals of each student. Lessons focus on developing strong piano technique, music theory knowledge, musicality, creativity, and lifelong appreciation for music.
Practice
Regular home practice is essential for student success. Students are encouraged to practice at least 5 days per week. Short, consistent daily practice sessions are more effective and productive than one or two longer practice sessions per week.
The most important time to practice is immediately after the weekly lesson in order to reinforce newly learned concepts and skills. Delaying practice until the end of the week may result in forgetting important information and slowing progress.
Parental involvement plays an important role in a young student’s success. Parents are encouraged to help establish a consistent practice routine, provide a distraction-free practice environment, and support their child’s musical development. For elementary-age students, parents should plan to participate in at least part of their child’s daily practice time.
Attendance
Students are expected to attend lessons regularly and consistently. Regular attendance is essential for steady improvement and long-term progress.
If a student is absent for four or more consecutive lessons, their reserved lesson time slot may no longer be guaranteed and may be released to another student. Excessive absences may result in termination of lessons.
